Our highly qualified nurses are skilled to handle any emergency but the most extreme trauma situations. When such cases such as extensive burns or traumas arrive in our ER the staff will stabilize the patient here and organize a transfer to the closest facility for more highly specialized treatment. We are here to treat medical emergencies and encourage patients and families to use their primary care physician for routine medical care. You can expect to be greeted by our staff who will assess your needs immediately. Triage is the first service you will receive as an emergency patient. A nurse will perform an initial exam that includes measuring your blood pressure, temperature and pulse. These simple steps help us identify patients who need to see a doctor right away and those whose condition is not as urgent. We realize that your time is important and that waiting can be frustrating when you are uncomfortable or frightened. Patients with more serious problems must be seen first even if they came in after you.
