Valdosta, Georgia is a wonderful city in which to live, work and visit! Our mild climate, progressive economy, and strategic location make Valdosta; also know as "The Azalea City," an ideal environment for business, industry and commerce. Valdosta is also on our way to fast becoming a regionally recognized retirement community. Our city embraces retirees and is well rounded to provide the amenities that retiree's desire.
Valdosta, Georgia's tenth largest city, was recently designated as the premier city of the new Metropolitan Statistical Area and serves as a regional trade area and retail hub for eleven surrounding South Georgia and North Florida counties and more than 1.2 million people. The City of Valdosta's population is currently 44,500. Valdosta, South Georgia's fastest growing city, is home to Valdosta State University, Moody Air Force Base, and the "winningest" high school football team in America, the Valdosta Wildcats. Our industrial and business communities, churches, and numerous civic organizations work in harmony with the city to ensure that the needs of our citizens are met.
